Flight of Teas! October 1st & 2nd!

Hello tea drinkers! This weekend is the first weekend of October, and we are jet setting our palettes to the beautiful country of France; This weekend's flight is a breakdown of our second top selling tea Paris! Black Currant, Earl Grey, & Vanilla.

John Harney's first flavored tea, Black Currant, is a classic black tea with fruity flavors. With its notes of big berries and fruit, this tea has become a favorite in restaurants all over America. It is the base tea for the blend of Paris.

Our Earl Grey is a combination of teas from India and China, blended with natural oil of Bergamot. The Bergamot gives a looming lemon flavor and aroma, while the black teas are full-bodied. A popular tea, Earl Grey gets its name from becoming a gift from China to the Prime Minister of Britain.

Vanilla Black tea carries a natural sweetness and rich flavor that is irresistible. The enticing aromas bring back memories of baking cookies with your grandmother or that favorite sweet candy you use to buy. A flavor that is commonly loved, anyone will enjoy our Vanilla black tea.

Flight of Teas! September 17th & 18th!

As the sun starts setting earlier and the wind starts getting chillier, we are welcoming the season of Fall with open arms here at the shop! This weekend enjoy our flight of Chai Hara, Cranberry Autumn, and Spiced Plum; A perfect beginning for the arrival of the new season!

Chai Hara is our green tea version of Indian Spice. The cardamom, cinnamon, nutmeg, coriander and ginger blend smoothly to create an enjoyable warm cup of spices. Those who enjoy this blend commonly take it with milk. Whether you want a green kick on your Chai tea or just want to try something different, Chai Hara is spicy tea anyone can enjoy.

Handpicked black teas from India and China, blended with pieces of orange and dried cranberry creates one of our most popular seasonal teas - Cranberry Autumn. With its sweetness but tart taste, this flavorful tea is as strong in aroma as it is in taste. Welcome the weather of Fall with this crisp, delicious classic!

Spiced Plum is an herbal infusion that is heavier than most assume. Blended with sweet cinnamon and plums, sipping this herbal brings feelings of seasonal change and has a presence on the palette one will remember.

Flight of Green Teas! September 10th & 11th!

Though the leaves may be turning from green to red soon, we are still feeling green! This weekend try our exquisite flight of Japanese green teas: Sencha Scent of Mountains, Gyokuro, and Yanagi.

In Kawane, located higher than Kakegawa (where our Ichiban Sencha comes from)  the weather is cooler and foggier, thus Sencha Scent of Mountains grows slowly. Having a delightful vegetal aroma, Scent of Mountains has become a staff favorite, and soon to be yours too!

Being Uji's most famous tea, Gyokuro has been sipped by Japanese aristocrats for years! The tea is shade-grown and has a mouth coating flavor  of steamed spinach and toasted walnuts. A divine green to taste, Gyokuro is a filling, overall enjoyable tea.

When leaves fall out during the rubbing process of making Sencha, they can come out flat or double-folded. These leaves become a tea called Yanagi Green. The taste is less intense, being lighter and lingering less. A good value green, most enjoy Yanagi after meals.
